MAT Research is a pioneering company in the field of pyrogen testing, committed to ushering in a new era of ethical and accurate diagnostics. Since 2016, we have been leading the development of the Monocyte Activation Test (MAT), an animal-free alternative to traditional Rabbit Pyrogen Tests. Our ready-to-use MAT kits offer a robust and highly reliable method for detecting a broad range of pyrogens in parenteral drugs. We seek motivated and enthusiastic interns to join our team and gain hands-on experience in BioTech. This internship will allow you to apply your academic knowledge in a practical setting while developing valuable skills that will benefit you in your future career.

Internship overview:

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with day-to-day tasks and projects within the team.

  • Conduct research and analysis to support ongoing initiatives.

  • Lab execution for Research and Manufacturing.

  • Data Collection & Analysis

Job requirements

  • Minimum internship term of 6 months.
  • Final year of graduation internships only.

  • Living near Leiden,  and willing to work on-site for the duration of the internship.

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program (HBO) related to the internship field of Chemistry (Bio-), Pharmacy, Computer Science, Biology and Health, and Biomedical Sciences. 

  • Having studied or work experience in the field of immunology is a plus. 

  • Strong passion for the respective field and eagerness to learn.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

  • Proactive and results-oriented mindset with a drive to make a meaningful impact.

  • Self-starting and hands-on mentality.

  • Fluent in English.
